...staycation2013!...

This summer... we had an opportunity to go on a little staycation at a JW Marriot in town... this is the second summer we've done this... and leading up to it- I was SO excited!  I love nothing more than having NO responsibilities and spending quality time with my family.  I started getting a little nervous the closer we got to our vacation- you know... when something was super fun once and then you are let down when you do it again... We had such a blast when we did this the year before that I just knew that this year was going to be disastrous....

But we ended up having a REALLY awesome time.  Waking up each day...eating a quick breakfast in our room/patio...getting our suits on...getting our SPF on...and then hitting the pool... all.day.long.  It was truly bliss.  And watching Jude turn into this little fish was something I'll never forget.  It was a sweet time.  We also got upgraded to a fabulous suite...and it was HUGE... love love loved it!

Jude and Daddy got to go to a dive in movie the first night while mommy and the girls snuggled and watched Monster's Inc in the room.  The second night we took the kiddos to see Monster's University... but the rest of the time... swim swim swim!

This has become a wonderful summer tradition...and I hope we can do it annually.. but mostly... I love my family... and I'm so blessed we were able to spend such quality time together!

...wasting time before daddy gets home and we can go!...

Hoppy Easter

I'm so ashamed at how out of order these posts are!  LOL... Jude's bday... followed by something that happened months ago...and then earlier this year!  Oh my!

This is one of my most favorite holidays!  I completely enjoy getting the kids baskets together... filling them with random things that I think they would have fun with... I love spending the mornings with my family... and then the afternoons with Derrick's.

She had this chocolate bunny opened and in her mouth before I had any idea what was going on!
Cutest Bunny Ever
Dying Eggs- it sounds more fun than it is!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Oh my word... So I'm still trying to catch up... I have such good intentions of blogging, but as you can imagine- being a momma to three kiddos can zap the minutes away!  :)

February
Every year our church holds a Dad/Daughter Dance.  It is such a wonderful tradition that Emme has gotten to participate in for the past 3 years... and this year was Kate's first time!  I swear it is much more of an event for momma than it is for the girls!  But I absolutely love the whole idea and I LIVE for traditions!  <3 p="">
This year was especially fun for Emme... She has been looking forward to "da dau-duh dance" since last year!  I even made sure that Derrick had gotten her a corsage...

Derrick said that Emme had a great time.  She was a little overwhelmed by the amount of people... but had a good time... EXCEPT... for when she saw a little baby (10months maybe) wearing a tiara.  And that's when Em had a melt down... b/c where is MY tiara?!  I'm a princess but I don't have a tiara!!!  Oh my word!  Um... yes.  Derrick said she had to take her outside to calm down bc she was DISTRAUGHT! Haha... as a matter of fact... it was the ONLY thing she said to me about the dance... "Mommy... you didn't get me a tiara!"  O___o  And... months later... she STILL reminds me that I need to have a tiara ready for next year!  ::smh::  Diva much?!  ;)

Kate enjoyed her time with her dad as well.  But... still being young, it didn't make as much of an impact as it did with Em.  I'm sure next year will be awesome for her!

My little beauty...

Such a ham!
My man!
So excited for her first corsage!
