...my favorite things...

Jude. He is just so stinkin' awesome. When I was working in the library...I stumbled upon a book that the kids all just LOVED: Skippyjon Jones in the Doghouse. The story is about a cat named Skippyjon Jones...who is sent to his room for timeout...but uses that time to explore his imagination to rescue his chihuahua friends from the Bobble-ito...taking on the persona of El Skippito. Oh it's pretty cute! Well...I found a lil board book when Jude was way tiny that is called Skippyjon Jones Up and Down....and in the last few months, it's become one of Jude's favorites. I like to read the story and make sound effects and move the book around...for instance: "Everyday, Skippyjon Jones bounces UP (BOING and lift the book up) and DOWN (BONK and bring the book down)....he zooms BACK (ZOOOOOOM and swing the book to the side) and FORTH (ZOOOOOOM and swing the book back to the other side)" You get the picture... Anywho. So...Jude like TOTALLY has it memorized now...and whenever he is playing w/ the book...he'll turn to the first page and put the book over his head and then bring it down while saying "doooooonnnnnnn" SO CUTE! And when I'm ready the story to him...he makes his own version of my sound effects on the correct page! Seriously....he's a genius!

OH. MY. WORD. This has been the ssssslllllooooowwwessst trimester EVER! But I'm almost to #2! One down....two to go. When I put it like that though....it stresses me out!!!!!! Ahhhh. Hopefully the nausea is gunna go...far far far away. (I've been "ok" the past few days- "ok" meaning still blah, but not throwing up) Goodbye Vomit- Hello Heartburn. :) Gotta love it!

Remember back in March when my girlfriends were on Spring Break....and I bombarded their every waking minute b/c I was SO excited to have them out of school...and I took Jude to Westgate to play in the fountains a zillion times...and he hated it....but I kept taking him so that he'd get over it? Well....I hadn't taken him back since then....but the other day...Aunt Niki and Braylon, Jude and I went down to Westgate to let the boys play. Braylon, who is 10months old- about the age Jude was in March- hated it...but Jude, after a little coaxing, LOVED IT! Finally! He loved it so much, as a matter of fact...that he refused to get out of the fountains to dry off and go home! (I literally had to drag him...and pin him down w/ my legs so that I could just wrap the towel around him!)

So. Derrick and I got iPhones a few weeks ago...it was a major splurge right now, but Derrick's been wanting one since they came into existence...and my Verizon contract was finally up...so we'd kinda been expecting it. Anyway- I bring up the iPhone b/c I can check my FB and email and whatnot on my phone now...so I'm rarely on the actual computer anymore...which is good in some ways...but bad in that I NEVER blog anymore!!! Ugh! So...I have a lot to "ketchup" on...

Um...Let's see...Jude:

*is a pro at walking...although he still sorta looks like a lil old man!
*is a pro at turning on the TV and Cable in our bedroom...seriously?!
*knows what ALL the remotes go to- he'll take the fan remote and look up at the fan while pushing the buttons...or will take the BOSE remote and stare at the BOSE box while pushing the buttons- he's also almost blown mom's ears out by turning the volume to 79!
*plays in his crib when waking up in the mornings- as opposed to crying until we get him...so now mommy can just ignore him for a wee bit to get a few last minute zzzz's!
*mimics words- I've been worried b/c he doesn't say much- other than Momma, Dadda, Bebe, NONONONONO, and every once in a while he'll say Hey or Yeah or something random- he babbles ALOT, but doesn't have a lot of vocab (which, I know he's still young...but....I'm a new mom!)- but now when I say "ALLLLL DONE!", he'll say "DUNDUN"....It's super cute!
*shares- um...okay, not really....but he's MUCH better than he was a few months ago! His favorite thing to share is his food- I caught him the other day feeding his rice snack to his cousin Braylon!
*gets on his truck- awww- so cute! My mom taught him how to swing his leg up onto the seat and then over to sit on his lil truck! It's the cutest thing ever! He had been struggling to get his foot up high enough...but he's got it down now! His favorite thing to do is get on backwards and then pull the back off (the back of the truck also lays down, so you can put toys in it...like a dump truck...or it stands up to be the back support).
*points to his belly...I've been trying to teach him where his nose is for the longest....but I guess there is more mass to his belly...thus making it easier to find! ?!
*points to himself and says "JEEEEWWWWW"- It's the sweetest....but he also points to pictures at my parents house and says "JEEEEW" too...which- to his defense- most of the pictures at my parents house is of him! (I've been utterly replaced!)
*nods or shakes his head for things... "Do you want more milk" -nods head. "Did you do that?" -shakes head. I'm sure he doesn't always understand...but it's super cute regardless!


I'm sure there are other things...but I am struggling to remember! He's such a great kid. I love every single thing about that child- even his scrunched faced, mini-tantrums. :D

...ashamed...

I'm truly ashamed at my lack of blogging this month! LOL. I looked at last months numbers...and I blogged 14 times...so far in June...4. HAHA. Well- that's what happens, I guess, when you're sick all day, everyday- and have no energy!

I feel like I've been missing out on alot... fun times w/ my friends who have a million "field trips" planned this summer... playing rough w/ my boy- alot of times, I'll just lay on the floor to play w/ him- and now Jude will lay down next to me to play too- haha!... cuddle time w/ DLo- cuz- I literally might throw up on him! HA! But- I know that it'll wind down- my energy will somewhat return- and HOPEFULLY the sickness will pass!

I do have like 10 blogs in my mind- I'll have to sit down one day and write them all!!!! :D In the meantime...thanks for being patient w/ me!

...i'm what?...

Sigh. This pregnancy is killing me! HAHA...not really- but I've been SO MUCH MORE sick than I was w/ Jude. I pretty much can call it- within 30mins of throwing up. It's so gross. As a matter of fact...I'm calling it right now! LOL. Ew.

Anywho. I thought I'd share the hilarious story of how we found out. It was a Wednesday night...we were at my cousins house after their graduation...and we were eating- (Wong's b/c that's what we ALWAYS eat when I'm w/ my family)... My aunt- who I guess in Korean culture considers herself also Jude's grandma- was doting over Jude and asks... "So...any plan nudda baby?" I give the "oh boy" giggle and say..."No...I dunno if we'll have another baby.." Well. After getting home and putting Jude down to bed... I say to Derrick...."I don't feel pregnant...but...I think I might be late." (Sidenote...and there will be a couple- me being "late" doesn't mean anything b/c I have a wack cycle...TMI?) Then I proceeded to say..."You know...I just...don't know that I want more kids. I mean....I LOVED being pregnant and giving birth...but I just love Jude so so so much...I don't want to share myself w/ anyone else! And....I don't know if I can handle the newbornlackofsleep thing!" (Sidenote- now...it DID take us a long time to conceive Jude...so on one hand- I'm cool w/ having however many kids God blesses us w/.... on the other- I really do love Jude so so so much and dunno if I can handle the newbornlackofsleep thing!!!) Derrick and I have always been on the same page...and he agreed...he wasn't sure how he felt about more kids.

Wow. So...I wake up early Thursday morning. Derrick and I were both sick (from TN) and Derrick had actually went to sleep on the couch (for the first time in our marriage) b/c he couldn't breathe or something (whatever- I was glad b/c he was snoring SO SO SO loud!!!!)... I think to myself...well...I have one pregnancy test left over...might as well take it! Random. Out of the blue. I take it...thinking NOTHING of it. PREGNANT. ?! Huh? PREGNANT. Wait...wait wait....let me get my glasses on. PREGNANT. Laugh. Out. Loud. So...I go to the couch and shake Derrick awake.... "Derrick.....Derrick.....Derrick.....Derrick...I NEED you to get up....... Derrick.....WAKE UP.....Derrick...." He rolls over....and I hold the stick up to his face. Derrick....being the genius that we all love...says..."I can't read it..." LOL! "Derrick...why would I show you a stick that says NOT pregnant?!" "You're pregnant!!?!?!?" "Apparently so!!!" ::tears::

So. After sitting there for what seemed to be an hour....shocked....elated....sad (read my previous pregnancy blog)...shocked...overjoyed...shocked... we finally peeled ourselves off the couch to rejoice! What a miracle and a blessing. God is so good.... now...if He'd just have some mercy on me and help me to stop feeling nauseous and vomiting!!! :D

Derrick has been THE BEST husband ever through this pregnancy...basically everything makes me gag...ESPECIALLY Jude's diapers...wet or dirty! Derrick has changed probably 95% of all diapers in the past month- even coming home for lunch to do a midafternoon shiner change! He's made numerous "runs" for me (Sonic...BaskinRobbins...McD's...etc)...and has picked up the house every single day. Just the other night...he said- "Usually you can tell when you're sick...but you're just like 'Whatever' and act normal....but...I can tell you're really sick b/c...the house looks EXACTLY the same when I come home as it does when I leave in the mornings- You haven't done ANYTHING!" LOL! And it's true...I pretty much have JUUUUUUST enough energy to take care of/play w/ Jude...eat...and vomit. LOL. I try to pick up things here and there or empty the dishwasher or do the laundry or whatever...but napping just sounds SO MUCH BETTER! Heehee! Derrick's been great! :D I love that man!
