So... I've got to say... I absolutely love this stage that we're in! Emme is learning and growing so much... and Jude cracks me up on a daily basis! He is talking alot more, although there are still many times that momma is the ONLY person that understands what he's saying!!! LOL. Jude turns 3 tomorrow... and I'm going to research speech therapy for him... just for some added help... but I have seen a TON of improvement in him the last couple of months! It's really fun times when your child finally gets to the place where they can communicate with you! I mean... for starters- a lot of the tantrums and whining stops b/c you're finally able to understand their wants and needs... but also b/c it's just comedy to hear the things that come out of their mouths!!!
Some of the daily funnies we hear from Jude are:
"Emme! No Sir!"
"You wanna peet (piece) of me?!"
"Jude, do you need to go peepee?" -"No...I mean, yeah!"
"Jude, who is this singing?" -"Warfare" (when listening to John Mayer)
"Jude go nienight then go Papa/Hanni's house! Oh yea!"
"Jude go nienight in Jude's bed... mom and dad go nienight in mom's bed" (it's his OCD phrase- he says it EVERY night as we are shutting his door for bed)
"Mom fix the choochoo train crack (track)"
"I wanna grive (drive)..."
"Daddy go work play guitar?"
"Daddy go get food?"
"No, Jude's too ti-yed (tired)" (when asked to do or eat or say ANYthing he doesn't want to do)
***for example***
"Jude, go down the slide!" -"No, Jude too ti-yed... Jude ti-yed slide!"
"I wanna _______, too" (I'm loving that he knows how to use "too"... "Jude wanna grink (drink) that too" or "Jude wanna watch tv too")
"Sun awake, momma?" (he is obsessed with day and night...he especially asks this as the sun is just setting and it's half day/half night)
"I afraid of the baby bug! At Papa/Hanni's house!" (he calls ALL bugs babybugs... and they are ALWAYS at Papa/Hanni's house b/c one day a bug flew on his arm when he was playing and apparently he FLIPPED out... so sorry I missed it!)
He knows that Deh-yeck (Derrick) or DYo (DLo) is daddy... and that Keeeh (Kim) is mommy... LOL... and anytime I call out for DLo!... he always has to yell it out too... DYO!
and anytime I'm on the phone...he tries to guess who I'm talking to...
"You talk daddy, momma?" "You talk Hanni?" (which he ALWAYS knows if I'm speaking in Korean) "You talk Jayjay (Jaime)?" (and this is usually followed by- "I wanna SEE Jayjay and YeaYea (Zoe)!")
He's just so sweet...and hilarious!
Emme is talking a TON more than Jude did at 15months... she is obsessed with saying:
*shoes (especially if I'm changing her into her clothes for the day- Come on mom! Let's go somewhere!)
*bark bark bark
*that! or this? (which I love b/c Jude said this alot too)
*more?!
*all done
*hiiiiiiiiiiiiYA!
*Maaaaaaaama! (she used to only say Dada, and NOT momma... but now mom and dad are both momma! which is sweet and funny when DLo comes home and she excitedly toddles over to him yelling Maaaaaaaama! (the Maaa is always drawn out w/ a short ma at the end... so cute!)
and she communicates really well by nodding or shaking her head if we ask her yes/no questions! Love it!

I am just so amazed at my son. He is growing up so fast...and as much as I love each new stage...there is a part of me that is sad to see the "baby" in him leave. Jude is such a kind boy...for the most part- he does live up to the terrible two's sometimes! He loves his daddy and his sister so much. He adores his Mickey...and loves to make music. I find myself looking at him and trying to see him as an infant...but all I see is this little boy who is full of energy and wonder...
I want to cherish these moments with him (and his sister) all my life.
I never want to forget the way he says, "Oh shhhhhuuuuuure..." if you ask him questions.
...the way he says "Ho-nu?" (Hold you) when he wants to be picked up.
...the conversations he makes his toys have with one another.
...the way he puts his Mickey, dog, Donald, and sometimes Bullseye to sleep (doing our bedtime routine).
...and sometimes making Mickey "c-eye" (cry) so that he can go back and comfort him.
I want to remember how he wipes away my kisses...
...and demands more.
...how he puts on full band rehearsals...
...and says "Haaani" (Halmoni)
I don't want to forget his funny smile- which means he's up to no good...
...or the way he repeats, "Mommy, Daddy, I go peepee" when we're reminding him to NOT pee in his chonies.
I want to think back and smile when I remember how he always wanted daddy to read him the "Byebu" (Bible)...
...and mommy to read The Potty Book...
...the way he ALWAYS needs ice in his water cup at bedtime...
...and the lovely excuses he has already learned to make to get out of his bed...
I don't want to forget how obsessed he is with brushing his teeth...
...how he knows how to operate our phones and the dvd player better than we do...
...the sound of his voice when he says "Mommy"...
...his fake burps- followed by "tehdeh!" (excuse me)...
...how much he loves his sister...
...how he says "nieeeeeght" and waves his fingers...
...seeing his giant body on his lil truck I bought him when he was almost a year old- homeboy rides that thing everywhere...
Jude...
I know that you "like" your daddy more...but mommy wants you to know that you bring me so much joy. You make me laugh...you keep me young. I am so thankful that you are my son and my life is more complete with you in it.
I love you, son!

I mean...does this picture not say it all? Derrick had the opportunity to get some sweet Dbax tickets. I thought it would be a fun and spontaneous thing to do w/ my boys...Jude did a great job and loved watching everything going on. He sat on Derrick's lap most of the game...but then came up on mine. As he was sitting on my lap, Jude leaned over and snuggled w/ his dad. Melt.My.Heart.Right.Now! So I leaned back and twisted my arms behind them to snap a picture. The first picture wasn't so much good...but by that point Jude had already sat up. So...I got him to do it again so I could get a better picture! Haha. He did great! ...and this picture is just too precious for words!

...my new electrolux ergorapido stick vacuum...
I used to have a Bissell wet/dry vac/mop thing...and it worked okay...I thought I loved it...and then it died (RIP)... I really needed a new one since Jude makes a HUGE mess at the dinner table (I will forever be stepping on dried peas and/or cheerios!!!) Went to Target and looked at their stick vacs...and decided on the electrolux. It seriously has changed my life. I actually look forward to Jude making a mess by his high chair so that I can suck it all up!!! Not only is it easy to maneuver- very smooth- but there's a detachable mini-dustbuster thingy with two attachments! This bad boy is hardcore- the suction is fantastic. Best $100 spent! Mine is orange...and I lurve it! ...Kelly Ripa eat your heart out!

...my sweet baby boy...
I mean...seriously- he is a riot! I'm either rolling on the floor laughing at him....or pulling my hair out b/c of him...and sometimes both!
I love:
* when he's getting in trouble and he gives me "the look" or...he'll just close his eyes!
(especially funny when I say "look at me")
* when you ask him a question and he'll say "noooo-oooooh!" in the cutest voice...or "nnnyeah!"
* how he says "Heeeeey Ennnny!"
* his strong hugs...
* having long conversations with him...and understanding none of it!
* putting him down for a nap- and having him stall- "Mama? Blabbleblabbleblabble ummmmaaaa ummmaaaa...blabble blabble" "Okay, nienight, Jude" "Mama? Ummma ummma...blabbleblabbleblabble!" ;)
* his growing imagination- just this afternoon I was eating icecream and sharing it with him...well, apparently Mickey Mouse wanted some too...b/c Jude brought MM up to me and was pulling on Mickey's nose- to make his mouth open- so that I could feed Mr. Mouse! LOL!
* his smile...
* when he indicates he wants a bite of your food by looking at you with his mouth wide open and a smile in his eyes...
I mean...really though...I could go on and on and on.
Jude William...you are awesomesauce! ...and I love you to pieces...
